This soap uses the old calamine lotion of zinc, castor oil & olive oil. Zinc is incredibly calming on the skin so this soap is great if you have problem skin and itchy or irritated skin. Great for sunburn.
Zinc is also a natural astringent so excellent as an acne treatment. It helps tighten pores and prevent the buildup of sebum, reducing the formation of blackheads and pimples.
Another property of calamine is being a natural anti-inflammatory, which means that it can assist in reducing all kinds of skin inflammation. Since rosacea is mostly an inflammatory disease of the skin on the face, the use of our calamine soap is a great daily topical treatment to help reduce redness and gently cleanse. Similar to rosacea, psoriasis is also an inflammatory skin condition and therefore the calamine soap is fantastic if you suffer from this condition. It can also soothe eczema.
